The Reset Girl

It's Never Too Late To Reset Your Life

April 22, 2018

Serenity Now!: The Weekly Reset No. 15

Hi

Ok, confession: I missed sending an issue out last week. And if that wasn’t bad enough, I was late getting this one out too. I was in a bit of a mess getting out the door for my trip last week, and then never seemed to catch up when I got home. Yeesh, I make a terrible planner girl sometimes. I have such good intentions to get so many things accomplished, but sometimes life just happens and things don’t turn out the way I planned. It happens to all of us friends. Only now, I give myself a lot more grace when it does. I hope you do too.

So I’m ready to start building some serenity into my life again and one way to do that is focusing on the space I spend most of my time in. I decided to schedule a self-care spa date with myself as a reward for decluttering and downsizing my crafty space/bedroom. I can’t wait for it to feel more calm and organized, while better reflecting the interests I currently have. Do you treat yourself after completing a project? I haven’t in the past, but I think I need the incentive this time 😉

The Weekly 5 Roundup

1. I want to create a budget-friendly experience, so I will be making my own DIY beauty treats for my self-care spa day. I’m going to mix up some of this spicy lip scrub and these delicious little scrubs for the shower (sugar scrubs are great for removing yucky deodorant residue) and I bought some of these so I could make some yummy oil recipes for my skin care routine. And while I enjoy prepping these beauty treatments, I will be giving my hardworking makeup brushes some caretoo.

2. Introvert too much? Yeah, me too. I loved these tips for making friends. And then of course, you will need ways to recharge your engeryafter you’ve spent time with them. #introvertfactsoflife

3. I love a beautiful bedroom don’t you? If yours isn’t a place of peace and refreshment, here is some motivation to change that. And if you love cozy, here is some ideas for achieving that too.

4. Here is a quick little hack for getting things done faster.

5. My Morning Quiet Time now has a playlist. I have been starting my morning with solitude (hard to do in the RV but not impossible) while reading my Bible. I start with reading my Daily Bible then jump into some more reading in my very favorite version ever. Then I dive into worship and prayer time with my playlist. I have been enjoying this morning ritual so much!

Smoothie of the Week: Peach Ginger Detox Smoothie. I will be sipping this on my spa day!

In the meantime, I hope your week is a productive one but that you take some time for yourself to recharge when you need it. Don’t forget, the HappyPlaceClubChallenge has lots of inspiration for you to do that!

With much love,

Cori
